What’s Hot: Total Body Workout and Danielle Korb
1.3.10
Are you wasting your time at the gym? Do you think you have no time to workout? Intimidated by the workout equipment ? Not quite sure what to do with that exercise ball? Want to do some body sculpting but you aren’t sure where to start?
My friend, you’ve come to the right spot.
This week on What’s Hot with Molly, Kelly and Caitlin we had the pleasure of talking with Danielle Korb of SweatTraining. This week, we’re talking with a personal trainer – who’s really more of a personal coach - and asking all of the questions that you really want to know.
Certainly at the start of a year, the gyms are packed, personal trainers are booked and we all swear that this is THE year we are going to make exercise a priority. But, inevitably by mid-February, the parking lot empties a bit, there is no longer a wait for that treadmill workout of the day and well, life gets in the way.
Enter Danielle.
Danielle is everything you would want in a personal trainer – smart, energetic, passionate and wickedly in shape – the complete package. The secret to Danielle’s success has been her approach – at SweatTraining, she looks as herself as a coach. Think of it, growing up you surely had coaches who pushed you in sports, who gave you guidance and were on your team. That’s Danielle’s take on it. At her gym, she works in teams, and those teams motivate one another to keep it up, push oneself, and heck, even offer the needed confidence to put on those short workout shorts on (and feel good about it)!
Among the many questions we had for Danielle included one biggie: How long do we really need to spend at the gym every time we go? I mean really, who has 2 hours to spend every day. Let it be known that her answer was – no more than an hour! One hour!
We also really wanted to know how to divide our time – between cardio and weights (and at that, free weights or machines), and balls and, and…what will give us that firm body sculpting? You’ll need to listen in to get the whole scoop, but certainly what she had to say made us happy. One tip – don’t get on the treadmill for 35+ minutes and do the same thing – you are WASTING YOUR TIME! Who knew? Listen in and find out why.
After all of the amazing things Danielle had to say, Caitlin solved Kelly’s cooking dilemmas as she prepared for a house full of guests. Soup too runny? Let Caitlin save your day.
