Nutrition vs. Convenience: Foodies’ Night In
March 8th meet cookingwithcaitlin.com at the Twitter table we’ve reserved for a salty, sweet, and all-over yummy conversation on what makes all of us eat what we eat. Are our diets determined by the health factor of food, or the convenience by which we come by the food? Do nutritional label values make a difference in the choices we make? If nutrition labels were in more places would our lives be totally different? Are the busiest restaurants and food suppliers doing enough by way of promoting healthy diets? While this is not meant to be a certified lesson in health education, you can count on learning a whole lot about the foods we eat everyday and all day long.
Weigh in or just watch the chatter guided by us, and a table-full of food-focused Twitter friends. Created by Molly, Kelly, and Caitlin of cookingwithcaitlin.com, #fni is just one more way of bringing the hungry people of the world to the same table. Everyone is busy; we designed this virtual event to keep us connected in a very simple way each week. Do not miss Foodies’ Night In.

When: Monday, March 8th, 4-6 EST
Where: On Twitter (or through our custom tweetgrid) with hashtag #fni
Topic: Nutrition vs. Convenience, What Makes Us Choose?
Who: @cookingwcaitlin, @cozifamily, @girlfriendology, @AthleticFoodie, and YOU!! (If you’d like to host #fni—it’s free!—tweet us and we’ll add you to the list.)
RSVP: As far as online event registration goes, let’s be honest, we really don’t need you to RSVP, but we would sure love to hear from you. Send us a tweet or an email to let us know you are joining the conversation.
Here’s how it works: Late Monday afternoons (4-6pm eastern to be exact) we meet through Twitter. Using the hashtag #FNI and that of the weekly sponsor, we greet each other at the virtual door, and get cozy to talk about whatever food-related topic we are featuring that day. Typically the topic will be determined by the weekly sponsor of #fni. The sponsor compiles at least ten questions that serve as the framework of the conversation over the two hours of #fni. Then, the hosts throw out each question at pre-determined times throughout #fni. Of course, the questions and hosts are in place to guide the worldwide chat, but all candid questions, comments, and concerns are invited and encouraged.
