Champagne Wishes and Caviar Dreams: Foodies’ Night In
Do you dream of attending one of those fancy culinary art schools? Are your dreams Italian, involving all sorts of gourmet cheeses and sausages and pastas? Or, rather, do you dream that your spouse attends the sweetest of pastry schools, and then tests new recipes on you? If you’re a bit like us—and I do believe you are—your dreams are set in cooking schools, dotted by doughnuts, and punctuated by sugar plums. Whatever your dream my be, you are enthusiastically invited to Foodies’ Night In, Monday, March15th. We’ll be comparing notes on all of our foodie fantasies.
Weigh in or just watch the chatter guided by us, and a table-full of food-focused Twitter friends. Created by Molly, Kelly, and Caitlin of cookingwithcaitlin.com, #fni is just one more way of bringing the hungry people of the world to the same table. Everyone is busy; we designed this virtual event to keep us connected in a very simple way each week. Do not miss Foodies’ Night In.

RSVP: As far as online event registration goes, let’s be honest, we really don’t need you to RSVP, but we would sure love to hear from you. Send us a tweet or an email to let us know you are joining the conversation.
Here’s how it works: Late Monday afternoons (4-6pm eastern to be exact) we meet through Twitter. Using the hashtag #FNI and that of the weekly sponsor, we greet each other at the virtual door, and get cozy to talk about whatever food-related topic we are featuring that day. Typically the topic will be determined by the weekly sponsor of #fni. The sponsor compiles at least ten questions that serve as the framework of the conversation over the two hours of #fni. Then, the hosts throw out each question at pre-determined times throughout #fni. Of course, the questions and hosts are in place to guide the worldwide chat, but all candid questions, comments, and concerns are invited and encouraged.
