Food Photos: Cooking with Caitlin’s Third Thursday
Inspired by a recent Retro-themed Foodies’ Night In event, Caitlin carefully crafted a 9-course menu of good old fashioned comfort food. The recipes will soon follow, but until then, allow me to present the photos:
Stuffed Peppers with a twist. Roasted jalapenos + goetta stuffing + roasted tomato lime sauce
Gruyere Fondue with roasted broccoli + hot buttered croutons + cornichon.
Deviled Egg with Bacon Fat and Watercress
Chipotle Glazed Meatloaf Sandwich with creamy mashed potatoes and Taste of Belgium waffle
Baked Beans Made with Whole Grain Mustard and Tab (yep, Tab)
Pigs in a blanket. Beef hot dogs, stuffed with fresh peaches, wrapped in bacon and wrapped in dough. (Served on top of beans – because you can’t have pork without the beans.)
Tuna Melt. Everything bagel chip + dill and scallion cream cheese + fresh tuna salad + melted havarti
Homemade Ho-Ho. Chocolate ganache + chocolate genoise + homemade cream filling.
Pineapple Upside Down Cupcakes. Brown sugar and butter roasted pineapple + fresh cherries + cake.
Brownie Ice Cream Sundae.
