55KRC - The Bike Shop by Molly Sandquist

Early on we decided that the radio show would be much more fun if we got to meet new people each week (and of course introduce the audience to some of our “old favorites”). Several weeks ago (I’m a bit behind), we got to meet entrepreneurs and Owners of Element Cycles, Brett and Kristen Hungerford.
Now the girls of Cooking with Caitlin (and hosts of What’s Hot with Molly, Kelly and Caitlin) do our fair share of exercise in our own way, but there’s not a one of us who is all too interested in becoming an expert biker. I’m just being honest here. However, if there was ever any chance that we WERE to take up the sport, and I mean really take up the sport, it would be after having had the pleasure of talking with Brett and Kristen. (This is one sport where the investment alone will downright commit you to it just to be sure you live up to the money you shelled out.)
Ever so passionate about biking, we’d have to say that even the amazing quality and types of bikes (and associated products) that he chooses to carry might get out-shined by just how committed Brett is to his customers. If he doesn’t feel that you need to spend the money on a super high-level bike, he’ll tell you. In fact, he’ll downright tell you where else to go. At the end of the day, he just wants to be sure that you are getting what YOU need. I mean, really. What more could you ask for.
We were shocked to find out that his store had only been open for 6 months (at the time of appearing on the show) as it seems like he is entrenched in the biking community. And man is he knowledgeable. He came prepared with all kinds of ways and ideas for families to get out and about together (no matter where you bought your bike).
We also got into some of the real life “rules of the road” for those non-bikers and who may not know. Check out this online video below to learn more.
Brett and Kristen, forgive us for taking so long to get this live. It is absolutely no indication as to our delight and happiness for having met you. Thank you, thank you for being our guests and we look forward to talking with you again!

The cheapest that they will sell a bmx bike is 300 if its on sale and the bikes are STILL good. mainly all of the brands will have atleast one bike that low but not always. if you are looking for a bike that cheap i would highly recommend the kink launch. if you are smaller than 5ft 5in than i would go with the fit trl 1 18’ bike.
