Popcorn Toppers - Cheddar
![]()
a snappy popcorn
I am a big fan of popcorn - and not just for movie snacks. Now, don’t get me wrong, those popcorn machines sure can pump out some delicious, buttery popcorn, but you can one-up movie theater popcorn from your very own home. Here’s one of my entertaining tips: dress up popcorn. Yes, dress up popcorn and give it the appearance of a gourmet dish. Toss hot popped corn with seasonings and spices and place it in bowls throughout your house as a super simple appetizer dish. Set out some fun mugs or napkins for people to carry around their popcorn and you have yourself an affordable, yet perceived to be gourmet food item.
Dress up classic orange cheddar popcorn with some hearty rubs. Spice it up with dry rub BBQ seasonings, or create a Cincinnati specialty popcorn and add Cincinnati Classic Chili Seasonings.
So, get out your popcorn makers (a.k.a. microwaves) and hit the start button. This super simple treat will certainly take people by surprise (in a good way). Be sure to check out my other popcorn topper recipes for White Chedder and Butter

- I like to serve this in an oversized bowl and place cups next to the bowl so people can help themselves.
