cooking information

  • Yield: 2 Steaks
  • Prep Time: 5 minutes
  • Cooking Time: 15 minutes

all ingredients

  • 2 Strip Steaks
  • 3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 Sprig Rosemary
  • Salt and Pepper, to taste

recipe instruction

1. Add your olive oil and a sprig of rosemary to a saute pan and turn the stove to medium heat. You want to add the rosemary to the olive oil while it is still room temperature to allow for the rosemary to infuse into the oil.

2. Generously salt and pepper both sides of the steak (even coat).

3. When the rosemary begins to sizzle, the oil is hot enough to create a crust on the steak. The crust on the steak will lock in the juices.

4. Cook your steak for about 5-7 minutes per side. You want to flip the steak when a nice crust has formed.

5. Watch the video to discover just how to tell when the steak is finished and perfectly cooked.

cooking tips

  • When working with herbs and olive oil, generally it is a good idea to add the olive oil when it is cold/room temperature. This will allow for the herbe to infuse into the oil.
