Lamb Chop with Ricotta Cream

effortless yet sophisticated

Lamb is often overlooked – if you ask me. Because of it, I try to come up with new lamb recipes from time to time, just to keep people on their toes. Chicken, pork and beef are so popular that I find that it is nice to work in a great lamb chop. My ricotta cheese recipe is extremely easy!

To make this into a great family meal you can serve this along side my Garlic Mashed Potatoes and easy Asparagus.

  • Yield: 6 Adult Dinners
  • Prep Time: 10 minutes
  • Cooking Time: 15 minutes

all ingredients

  • 6 Lamb Chops
  • 2 Cups Whole Milk Ricotta
  • 2 Lemons
  • 2 Tbsp Cracked Black Pepper
  • Salt/ Pepper

recipe instruction

1. Preheat your grill to high heat.

2. Season your lamb chops with salt and pepper. Once the grill is hot place your chops and let cook for 4 minutes without touching them.

3. In a small bowl, combine ricotta, zests of 2 lemons, and your cracked black pepper. Stir and set aside.

4. After 4 minutes of cooking, flip the chop and finish cooking for another 3 minutes. You want to serve lamb medium rare.

5. Once the chops are finished have rested a few minutes place a dollop of the ricotta before serving.

6. Serve and Enjoy!!

cooking tips

  • If you have extra ricotta cream add it to your favorite cooked pasta and some of it's cooking liquid for the perfect, quick dinner!
