Apple Cider and Horseradish Dipping Sauce

Apple Cider and Horseradish Dipping Sauce

a perfect fall fresh flavor

I just love the fall and love to work with the great fall flavors. One of my favorites is this hot apple cider and horseradish dipping sauce. This is the perfect accompaniment to a great steak. It is sweet with a bit of heat.

cooking information

  • Yield: 3 Cups
  • Prep Time: 5 minutes
  • Cooking Time: 15 minutes

all ingredients

  • 3 Cups Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 Large Horseradish Root

recipe instruction

1. Peel and chop the horseradish root into three large chunks.

2. In a small sauce pot, combine the 2 ingredients and bring to a boil on high heat.

3. Reduce the mixture down to about ½. Let boil uncovered for about 10 minutes.

4. I recommend that you serve this with a nice steak. A little goes a long way!

5. Serve and enjoy!

cooking tips

  • Horseradish root can be found in the produce section nearby the other root veggies.
  • When reducing, you do not want to cover a pot as that will lock in the moisture.
  • To reduce means to remove the water, thus intensifying the flavor.
  • Would recommend between 1 Tablespoon to 1/4 cup per steak.
