Disclosure Policy for Product Reviews

The Federal Trade Commission requires that we disclose any relationship between Cooking with Caitlin and a product manufacturer or service provider when I write about a product or service.  Furthermore, it is important to us at Cooking with Caitlin that you, as a consumer, understand the relationship between us and the company whose product or service we are reviewing.

Here are the guidelines under which we operate at cookingwithcaitlin.com:
• We are never paid to do a review. We never accept money to review a product or service. We invest our own time to review and test products. We pay out of our own pockets the cost to produce all the videos we tape.
• Usually, we do not pay for the products we test. They are sent to us by manufacturers themselves. Rarely do we request a product. In almost all cases, the manufacturers approaches us first via a press release or a phone call. If we feel they’re promoting a product from which we all may benefit, then we request they send the product.
• When we link to a product in a review, sometimes we are paid a commission if you purchase the product or service. This is called affiliate marketing and you can get the whole scoop on that system right here Affiliate Marketing}.
