Givaudan Flavors – Time Warner Cable
You definitely need to check out this 12-minute episode. You will be amazed to learn what is happening in Cincinnati, Ohio and to understand just how much it impacts your life.
Have you ever watched Charlie and the Chocolate Factory? The original movie? Remember when the kids first get to the factory and Willy Wonka throws open the doors to the room that is made out of candy – the chocolate river, vibrantly colored candy flowers, candied bouncing balls? I don’t know about you, but I was in awe and wanted to experience every detail of that room. Well, fast forward 20 years, have the doors to the flavoring rooms thrown open at Givaudan, and I was feeling just like a kid again. In fact, we all were.
An international company with North American headquarters located right here in Cincinnati, Givaudan is responsible for many of the world’s most recognizable flavors. Think: that perfect flavor of root beer or apple taste in your favorite candy (and so, sooo much more). In this episode, we were taken behind the scenes and given the inside scoop on how it all happens. And, we were given special approval to bring the cameras with us every step of the way.
We owe a special thanks to the Givaudan team for taking the time to educate us on their processes and for being ever-so-patient as our noses went into sensory overload smelling one flavor after the next. You definitely need to check out this 12-minute epsisode. (We discovered that Kelly has a very unique approach when smelling. Sounds very strange but you will see what I am talking about.)
