Blackberry-Sesame Compote Recipe
The sweet of sesame and sour of blackberries dance together perfectly in this simple compote recipe. I initially created it to drizzle over Sesame-Cardamom Cheesecake, but it also a treat over mascarpone gelato, or ricotta-stuffed French toast, or even as a relish for chicken or pork.

blackberry-sesame compote tips and tricks
- If you prefer the compote to be seedless, a bit silkier, run it through a fine mesh sieve.
- I used blackberries because they were gorgeous on the day I went to market. This recipe would also work with raspberries, however.
- Oriental Wok’s sauces are now available at Kroger nationwide. They may be found in either the international aisle of the shop, or near the butcher station.
