Homemade Popovers

Serve these little bites of food-love as an appetizer, afternoon snack, or super special dinner side. Try them hot out of the oven with Oyster Butter melting down, or warm with honey or jam.

all ingredients

  • 1 Tablespoon Unsalted Butter (at room temperature)
  • 1 Cup All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 Cup Whole Milk
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1 tsp Kosher Salt

1. Preheat your oven to 400 degrees.

2. Add your butter, flour, milk, eggs and salt to a blender.

3. Blend together until a smooth consistency.

4. Grease muffin tins generously and fill 1/2 way up with batter.

5. Bake for 30 minutes or until they have risen and are golden brown.

6. Serve hot and enjoy.

cooking tips

  • These are super simple and delicious! To jazz up the recipe yourself you could always add fresh chopped herbs or coarse black pepper.
  • If you don’t have a blender you can always use electric beaters or even a hand whisk if you have to. The most important thing is that you make sure there are no lumps of flour.
  • Traditionally popovers have special baking equipment to bake in, but I made this recipe in classic muffin tins and they were equally as good.
