55KRC – Andrea Deckard of savingslifestyle.com

As we stare down the season of spending and this week’s purchase of the big bird in particular, it’s only right that I share with you some cost-cutting notes from the good-buy guru herself, Andrea Deckard.

“Couponing is a lifestyle.”

It is this quote from the saving-savvy Andrea Deckard that carried us right on through What’s HOT with Molly, Kelly, and Caitlin recently.  Andrea is the genius behind savingslifestyle.com and a fellow blogger on the Locals on Living network.  She is a local mom and nothing less than a mastermind on frugality.  From the first coupon mention to the last, all three of us were lathered up about stretching our bucks.

As we stare down the season of spending and this week’s purchase of the big bird in particular, it’s only right that I share with you the radio podcast of our visit with Andrea.  Certainly her tips and tricks are key from the beginning of January right on through the end of December, but at this time of wish lists and dinners for 20, they are especially valuable.  You’ll want to listen here for the whole scoop; Andrea dished on everything from big box stores to affordable ways to print their coupons from home to how much money you really save at Wal-Mart.

In the meantime, however, I deliver to you (free of charge, of course) the five techniques that helped Andrea herself save $6500 in her first year of couponing:

  • 1. Coupons
  • 2. Shopping online
  • 3. Price comparison/competitive matching
  • 4. Menu planning
  • 5. Collective buying

Now, get comfy for the podcast that could very well change your lifestyle…
