The Super Sandwich Exchange
Blame it on today’s Foodies’ Night In (#fni). By six o’clock this evening, I was in nothing less than a lather looking for my next sandwich.
Craving Carbs
Blame it on today’s Foodies’ Night In (#fni). By six o’clock this evening, I was in nothing less than a lather looking for my next sandwich. Not my next salad, my next apple, or even my next dessert. Nope. My next sandwich.
Today we gathered, as we do every Monday afternoon (and will again next Monday afternoon), with our partners in foodiedom, @savvyhost, our hosts @Girlfriendology and @cozifamily, our sponsor @KitchenMonki, and expert crew including @daisymaesmarket and @kendurbin to talk about that which gathers us all to the table—food, glorious food. And not just any food. The order of the day was sandwiches and the bread that makes them the greatest. The pace was breakneck and the tweets were intense. Clearly, very clearly, we all take our lunch very seriously.
(Suffice to say there’s a salty, sweet, crispy, chewy peanut butter BLT in my future.)
Favorite Foodie Tweets
From the over-achieving Polly (wink, wink) to practical Sarah of the heartland, these are a couple of my favorite tweets:
BeingPolly: @cookingwcaitlin I now only use the slow-rise, little-yeast, no-knead, cook in a covered-pot method. #fni
condoblues: @CoziFamily Sandwhiches made w/ frozen bread work OK as an impromptu ice pack in packed lunch too. #fni
HeartlandSarah: I wrap and freeze bread all the time. Prepared sandwiches? Waxed paper first. #fni
Oh, and I really dug this tweet from our new friend @lolamichelle, “thank you so much for hosting these parties. I love participating. #fni” Now that’s a girl who knows a good time when she sees one!
