And Happy Friday to you.  We made it to the weekend once again.  Congratulations!  No doubt every single one of your seconds since Monday has been a blur—jam-packed from minute to minute.  Moving at the speed of light.  In the immortal words of Loverboy, “Working for the Weekend.”

I’ve had a similar experience, including an early morning run-in with my charming two-year-old who secretly dumped a giant jar of black pepper and a full box of baking soda into the mixing bowl that is our living room before the rest of us were even awake.  (Although I would’ve rather awakened to an angry rooster on my chest, it was quite hilarious to decode toddler-speak through a fit of chirpy little sneezes.)  Of course, I’m thankful for a full life (and especially the ornery toddler), but, for the love of Saturday, I am thirstier (wink, wink) than I’ve ever been.

So, here I share with you the drink I’ve been dreaming of since I heard that first sneeze…

Then, follow my recipe remix for making it just as easy as possible:  On your way home from work today, zip through the Frisch’s drive-thru nearest your home.  Pick up a couple giant to-go cups full of their perfectly-crushed ice.  Throw it in your home freezer just long enough to get the sensational syrup made.  While the fixins are chilling, get yourself into lounge mode.  By the time you’ve ditched the dress-clothes, your slushie will be ready to, well, rock your world.
