Kelly and I are extremely lucky to get to have Caitlin on speed dial when we need a little help in the kitchen (FYI – Kelly is no stranger to calling up Caitlin with 5 completely random ingredients and then saying…”So…what can I make with these?” ).

Kelly and I are extremely lucky to get to have Caitlin on speed dial when we need a little help in the kitchen (FYI – Kelly is no stranger to calling up Caitlin with 5 completely random ingredients and then saying…”So…what can I make with these?” ). Because we are so fortunate, we thought we would pass on some of Caitlin’s thoughts that repeatedly surface as she coaches us through the process on the phone (thank you, thank you Caitlin).

Words of Wisdom

Use Great Ingredients. If you cooking with great ingredients you will make a great meal. The fresher the ingredients the better your dish will taste.  In most instances, the better the meal will be for you.

Keep it Simple. Just because you see some chef flambe bananas doesn’t mean every meal will taste better with a large flame. By keeping it simple in your cooking methods (roasting, boiling, grilling, or nothing at all) you stay true to your ingredients, and in fact get more flavor. Plus it keeps it easier for the chef within the house (a.k.a. you).

Be confident in What You DO Know. If you know that chicken stock adds more flavor, put it in everything. If you know you love nutella, smear it on everything. If you know not to cook eggs in non-non-stick skillets, don’t do it. There should be a lot of colors on each plate and every food group should be represented.

It is only fitting that, just as helpful Caitlin has been to us, Danielle has re-paid the favor with Caitlin.  And while many of Danielle’s clients tell her that they had no idea it would be so easy to get such great results (or they would have come sooner), ask Caitlin yourself. When you talk with Danielle, and want to know the hidden secrets – just tell us what to do exactly, Danielle – her advice is as follows:

To reshape your body, you need to combine three elements for super quick results.

Resistance Training: Weights, bands, machines, & your body weight is what I’m talking about. Keep the intensity high….don’t stop moving. This is the #1 exercise choice for burning up the fat.

Healthy Nutrition: Eat 5-6 small meals a day, high calorie, & protein with every meal. Protein is the cornerstone of your nutritional plan. A great way to add protein is with protein shakes for snacks!

Sprint Training: Adding this at the end of your resistance training workout helps to burn even more fat & speed up your results.
