Picnic in the Park: Foodies’ Night In
There is just not a thing better than dusting off that picnic basket to kick off Summer. It’s pretty darn sunny out there and the grass is awfully green. Wash up your red-and-white check, and pack up enough meal for even the ants to get carried away.
Meet us at the (Twitter)park, Monday, May 17th, 4-6EST, for a fare-focused Twitter party all about the best parts of a picnic—the food! Your Cooking with Caitlin crew is lining up all sorts of serious picnic-packers and Summer-lovers to guide the conversation. We’ll cover everything from macaroni salad to homemade brownies to the best pop to pack. Join us.
What: Cooking with Caitlin’s Foodies’ Night In (#fni) Twitter party
When: Monday, May 17th, 4-6 EST
Where: On Twitter (or through our custom tweetgrid) with hashtag #fni
Topic: Picnic in the Park
Who: @cookingwcaitlin, @cozifamily, @girlfriendology, @blogwelldone, @cheftee, and YOU!!
RSVP: As far as online event registration goes, let’s be honest, we really don’t need you to RSVP, but we would sure love to hear from you. Send us a tweet or an email to let us know you are joining the conversation.
Here’s how it works: Late Monday afternoons (4-6pm eastern to be exact) we meet through Twitter. Using the hashtag #FNI and that of the weekly sponsor, we greet each other at the virtual door, and get cozy to talk about whatever food-related topic we are featuring that day. Typically the topic will be determined by the weekly sponsor of #fni. The sponsor compiles at least ten questions that serve as the framework of the conversation over the two hours of #fni. Then, the hosts throw out each question at pre-determined times throughout #fni. Of course, the questions and hosts are in place to guide the worldwide chat, but all candid questions, comments, and concerns are invited and encouraged.
Thank you to our hosts who help make sure #fni happens from week to week:
@Girlfriendology
@CoziFamily
And to our expert picnic-packers for adding their genius to the basket:
@BlogWellDone
@cheftee
