Honeybaked Ham Company

This week’s on What’s Hot with Molly, Kelly and Caitlin we bring to you Craig Kurz, Chief Executive Officer of The Honeybaked Ham Company. We all know (and love) the hams, but how about the soups, the sandwiches, the turkeys… A little inside scoop for you – it was none other than Craig and his wife Sondra who helped to first put Cooking with Caitlin on the map (they hired us for the first ever catering job). We are forever grateful.

There are many lessons to be learned from this podcast, but the one that has really resonated with me, is to never back down. Honeybaked Ham was actually founded because Craig’s Grandfather was given one rejection letter after another when trying to sell his idea/product that spiral sliced ham.  Clearly, he was onto something.  Years later, millions of people who have enjoyed the hams later, and an entire category of food sales that has grown around ham later, I think it is pretty safe to say that his persistence resulted in quite a difference in the food business.
