I use this pesto recipe in my Caprese Burger.

all ingredients

  • 1/2 Pound Spinach
  • 6 Cloves Garlic
  • 1/2 Cup Fresh Parsley
  • 1 Cup Parmesan
  • 1 Tablespoon Dried Tarragon
  • 1 Teaspoon Fresh Basil
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 Cup Olive Oil

Throw everything but the oil into a food processor and chop until almost completely smooth. Add oil in a slow and steady stream.

cooking tips

  • To save leftovers of your homemade pesto, add a layer of olive oil on top of the sauce before putting it in the refrigerator. The oil will help preserve the pesto and extend its shelf life.
