  • 1 Flank Steak
  • 1/2 Cup Dried BBQ Rub
  • 1/2 Cup Dried Coffee Grounds
  • Oil

recipe instruction

1. In a small bowl mix together the dry BBQ rub and coffee grounds.

2. Rub the rub on both sides of the flank steak generously and let sit in your refrigerator for a couple hours before cooking.

3. Preheat a large non stick skillet to high heat. Add approximately 2 tablespoons of oil to the pan.

4. Once your pan is hot enough, dust the excess rub off and place in the hot pan. Let cook for 7 minutes without touching it.

5. After the first 7 minutes, flip the flank steak and let finish cooking another 10 minutes on the other side.

6. When the flank steak is cooked to your preferred preparation, remove from pan and let rest 3-5 minutes so the juices can redistribute. Slice thinly against the grain and serve hot.

  • If you have excess rub, place in a resealable plastic bag and store in your freezer until the next time you want to make this recipe.
