Chocolate Cinnamon Whip

I watched two grown men get so excited about this dessert that they had to be told to wait their turn. Seriously. This chocolate cinnamon whip is a great dessert to serve by the spoonful and pass on a platter at parties. The combination of the dark, gourmet chocolate with the vibrant red strawberry makes for a beautiful presentation. And, the hint of fresh cinnamon is a mouth-watering surprise.

all ingredients

  • 3 Cups Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 2 Teaspoons Cinnamon
  • 2 Cups Milk Chocolate Chips
  • 1 Pack Strawberries

recipe instruction

1. Place two cups of the heavy whipping cream in a medium-sized bowl. Using a hand mixer, whisk the whipping cream to stiff peaks – approximately 5-10 minutes. You will know it is stiff peaks when you can pull the beaters from the whipping cream and the cream holds its form.

2. In saute pan, bring the cinnamon and one cup of the cream to a boil. Once the cream comes to a boil, pour onto the milk chocolate chips and stir. Continue to mix together to create a ganache.

3. Once you have made your ganache, slowly add it to the whipped cream while continuing to whip the cream (you do not want your whipping cream to deflate).

4. Prepare your strawberry garnish by cutting off the green top of the strawebrry. Place the strawberry flat-side down and slice the strawberry into 4 slivers.

5. Using spoons as your serving mechanism, spoon up the whip, place a strawberry on top and serve (see the picture for an idea).

  • Serve in a martini glass or on a spoon for an extra special presentation!
