Chocolate Covered Bananas

This sinfully delicious dessert takes just minutes to make and will impress just about anyone of any age – your 7 year old son, your 47 year old wife AND your 97 year old grandmother. It’s bound to be a hit! I came up with this sweet mix of chocolate, bananas and macadamia nuts to answer a request for a sweet dessert that can be easily made and beautifully presented. all ingredients

  • 5 Bananas, cut into 4 pieces each
  • 2.5 Cups Milk Chocolate Chips
  • 1.5 Cups Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1 Cup Macadamia Nuts

recipe instruction

1. Slice the banana into 4 equal sized pieces. Place them side by side in a square baking dish.

2. Add the chocolate chips to a mixing bowl.

3. In a medium sized saucepan, bring the heavy whipping cream to a boil. Once the whipping cream has been brought to a boil, add it to the chocolate chips and mix together. Continue to stir until all of the chocolate chips have melted.

4. Pour the chocolate mixture on top of the bananas until all of the bananas are covered.

5. Sprinkle with the nuts.

6. Refrigerate for 60 minutes.

7. For fun presentation, serve each of the banana slices on a spoon.

cooking tips

  • This mixture of chocolate and whipping cream is called a ganache and can actually be used as icing for a cake as well.
