simple Italian comfort food

This is my Italian family’s version of comfort food. As long as you have the Garlic – Infused Olive Oil prepared beforehand, this is one of the great easy family meals you can go to in a hurry. With a hunk of bread a crunchy green vegetable, like Asparagus, you will be good to go.

all ingredients

  • Garlic-Infused Olive Oil
  • 1 Pound Dried Linguine
  • Salt and Pepper
  • Fresh Parmesan, Shredded

recipe instruction

1. 20 minutes before service, bring a large pot of water to a boil. Once the water is boiling, cook your pound of pasta for 7-9 minutes.

2. Once the pasta is cooked, drain, toss with infused oil, sprinkle with salt and pepper, and top with shredded parmesan. Use oil, salt and pepper, and parmesan to your taste.

3. Serve and enjoy.

cooking tips

  • The parmesan can be placed on the dinner table and each person can serve themselves. The better the quality of parmesan the better the flavor of the dish.
  • Serve a couple pieces or a twirl of pasta on the end of a fork as an appetizer.
